Youth’s Benefit Elementary Volunteer Expectations: 

Important - New for 2025-2026: All volunteers for the 2025-2026 school year must attend the school's volunteer training. This training is for anyone who plans on volunteering at YBES. To be selected as a chaperone on a field trip, you must attend a volunteer training. The school will be holding these sessions every so often, so you'll need to attend in order to volunteer.

In addition to attending the training, you will need to complete and sign the Youth’s Benefit Elementary School Volunteer Contract. You can bring this with you to the training or complete it at the training if you attend an in-person training. If you attend a virtual training, bring this completed form with you to the office the first time you volunteer.

In-person Volunteer Training on Wednesday, October 8th from 6:00-6:30pm

After you attend the volunteer training, here are some reminders when you volunteer:

• Always check-in at the office each time you come to school to get a volunteer sticker.
• Leave other siblings at home in order to give your full attention to the job at hand.
• If supporting with lunch, you will be in the cafeteria.
• If supporting a teacher/grade level, you will be working in the grade level planning room.
• Please do not visit children in other locations while volunteering. You must stay in your designated volunteer area. If you do not, you will not be able to volunteer in the future.

If you are supporting a teacher/grade level, that should be arranged directly with the teacher.

If you are interested in helping with any of the PTA events and activities, please use this link to select which events/activities. The co-chairs of the event will contact you closer to the event for more information.
